About Xavity
Xavity is a number of turnkey licensable platforms which implement AVB (Audio Video Bridging) standards and complete product-ready functionality on a ever-growing number of silicon provider’s devices.
Xavity will provide Audio, Video, and Bridging solutions.
Xavity not only includes the necessary AVB standards, but includes features ranging from “would be nice” to “must haves” for equipment manufactures such as glitchless redundancy, a flexible host interface with a consistent API (Application Programmers Interface) across multiple targets, media clock recovery, failsafe network firmware update, and more. Additionally, Xavity licensees have access to platform kits which include reference schematics and BOMS, design flow reference projects, portable SDK (as source code), as well as sample code like media / TDM interface code, and more.
Electronic devices are comprised of various components. The expectations of users in all markets are increasing. Increased product features, while simultaneously providing more intuitive user interfaces, are now commonplace. As products become more advanced, there are more “soft” components in them as well. Answering ‘Question 2’:
“Build or Buy?” The value of utilizing Xavity is very simple: Licensing Xavity saves you time and development dollars, and gets your products to market faster.
Xavity is simply has very good financial ROI.
Could your ace engineering team build similar functionality from the ground up? The answer is somewhere between “Yes” and “Probably.” But utilizing that internal talent on your unique offerings (identified in the answer to Question 1) is a better, more profitable use of resources.
