LABX_AUD8822 Daughterboard for Xilinx based AVB development

Lab X Technologies, LLC is pleased to announce the introduction of the AUD8822_EXP and AUD8822_FMC audio daughtercards for Xilinx FPGA evaluation kits. These two functionally-similar boards provide 8x8 channels of analog audio, 2x2 channels of S/PDIF, a battery-backed RTC, VCXO / PLL hardware for audio clock recovery, and employ the Avnet EXP and VITA-57 FMC mezzanine board standards, respectively.

Paired with Lab X's IEEE1722 Audio / Video Bridging (AVB) IP demo projects, and a Xilinx evaluation board (such as the Spartan-6 SP601 or the XtremeDSP Starter Kit, Spartan-3A DSP 1800A Edition), the AUD8822 boards provide a means for customers to evaluate the capabilities of the Lab X AVB Audio IP packet engines, multiple-domain media clock recovery IP, and AVB networking in general.

Lab X's Talker and Listener packet engines are capable of supporting hundreds of uncompressed, pro-quality audio channels over a Gigabit Ethernet AVB link, and will support the Virtex-6, Virtex-5, Spartan-6, and Spartan-3A DSP FPGA families.

LABX_AUD8822 modules cost 395 USD + shipping.
